Back on photo's analysis of d'Elliott Erwitt.

As you will be aware, this work is also black and white, because Elliott is a specialist in the black and white's photograph and therefore all his works all this works's.

Talking now of this work:

This photograph is violent, we see a clear impact in the window of the car, this impact is not in the centre oh the work but he is so shocking that us immediately identifying him. Indeed his location is scary, because there  a child in the car hiding his eye just behind the impact. The result is wounding because we have a feeling that this child have got bullet(or other of imagination) in his eye. In addition this child haven't a cheerful head, rather sad, that us can feeling to the pity. The game of lights here, is less important than the first photography working because it is here to sudject melancholy, by the sensitivity to the child that us can feeling etc...

I don't know if you have see but the child is placed to seats at the front of the car... I could be wrong but... I think that Elliott wanted to show us how dangerous it can be for a child placed at the front in car, after, of course, this is only hypothesis.  ;)

The Ball (Story writen by Aurélie and Andréa)

Hello! Today, with my friend Aurélie F. (your blog : http://aurelieftn.blogspot.fr/ )
We have finished our story in class :) (I precise the aim was to make a story in 55 words)
We don't have our mark yet and if you like our story, maybe, we will get a better mark. ;p
Enjoy reading it!

The Ball
One summer night, in a deserted park, Elizabeth was reading and Jenny, her lovery daughter, was on the swing. Suddenly, the creaking sound of the swing stopped. Disturbing silence. Jenny had disappeared ! Elizabeth immediately began to look for the little girl when she saw Jenny's ball roll to her feet.
It was Jenny's head, cut.

Really, this story is gloomy, dark and strange, but it was the theme. ;) Goodbye!

Elliot Erwitt is an American photographer and writer born in 1928 in Paris.

I will speak about a book Unseen in which we can see many of his photographs. I would like to focus on a few of them.

For example, this work:

In this photograph, our look is first of all attracted by areas lights: sneakers, the plug of the bottle, the skin and in particular a area important who is the ones of human hair, this haircut is the vanishing point of the picture. The man is in the middle of the picture , he looks comfortable. In addition, the lens positioning we give a effect to "large" of the limousine who amplifed the idea to confort and to the wealth. On the other hand, we can't see any joy an his face, on the contrary, we can see a bored face. This man doesn't seem to engry his wealth at he nor should, he is probably used to being rich. But, as we seeing, he is alone, almost old, without woman or family: The loneliness reigns in this work. It shows the sadness of a man who grows old in luxury.
"The money does not buy happiness"

All photographs to Elliott are overall in black and white, they contains the capacity to guide eye thanks to the light.

Ps: The man in the work is Andy Warhol, did you recognized him
? :p
