Back on photo's analysis of d'Elliott Erwitt.

As you will be aware, this work is also black and white, because Elliott is a specialist in the black and white's photograph and therefore all his works all this works's.

Talking now of this work:

This photograph is violent, we see a clear impact in the window of the car, this impact is not in the centre oh the work but he is so shocking that us immediately identifying him. Indeed his location is scary, because there  a child in the car hiding his eye just behind the impact. The result is wounding because we have a feeling that this child have got bullet(or other of imagination) in his eye. In addition this child haven't a cheerful head, rather sad, that us can feeling to the pity. The game of lights here, is less important than the first photography working because it is here to sudject melancholy, by the sensitivity to the child that us can feeling etc...

I don't know if you have see but the child is placed to seats at the front of the car... I could be wrong but... I think that Elliott wanted to show us how dangerous it can be for a child placed at the front in car, after, of course, this is only hypothesis.  ;)
